The Global Organization of People of Indian Origin (abbreviated as GOPIO) is a secular, non-political nonpartisan, non-sectarian, not-for-profit global organization.
The Mandate
To promote interests and aspirations of the Indian Communities around the world and of specific groups residing in various countries of their adoption.
What We Do
We are engaged in promoting the wellbeing of PEOPLE OF INDIAN ORIGIN and NON-RESIDENT INDIANS, enhancing interaction and communication between these groups living in different countries and in furthering their linkage with India.

Important Facts
GOPIO was founded at the First Global Convention of People of Indian Origin in New York in 1989. The initial thrust of GOPIO was fighting human rights violation of people of Indian origin. Gopio Delhi NCR is one of the chapters under GOPIO.
GOPIO aims to bring together the PIO community in DELHI NCR by providing a platform for the community to interact and socialize. We plan to organize events and special programs to promote trade, interaction, culture and information.
